14 Apr Interpreting: the challenge of successful knowledge transfer
Would you like to provide training for employees from abroad and thus improve knowledge transfer? Then look no further – interpreting is THE solution for you.
For example, we recently provided advice and support for one of our industrial clients which specialises in the manufacture and maintenance of aircraft turbines. We provided four professional French <> English interpreters, experts in the aeronautics and aerospace sector, at the client’s site over three weeks for a technical training course delivered to 12 English-speaking employees in the workshop.
In order to ensure such assignments go as smoothly as possible and in the interests of quality (adherence to client-specific terminology), we ask our clients to provide us with reference documents on the topics covered at least one week before the start of the assignment. The interpreters can thus “prepare” for the content of the assignment and assimilate the relevant vocabulary.
